About the role

St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School, Bannockburn, is seeking teachers who have a passion for teaching Physical Education  and have a clear knowledge and understanding of current Victorian curriculum and education trends to join their staff. The successful applicant will need to have experience teaching Physical Education to Primary school aged children.

This is a Long Service Leave replacement position for seven (7) weeks in term 3. There is the possibility of some negotiated time of co-teaching handover before the replacement begins .  Start date is Monday 29th July and is finalised on Friday 13th September 2024.

Applications are invited from Physical Education teachers to join a team dedicated to achieving engaging learning experiences that challenge children to achieve their personal best. 

The successful applicant needs to be able to demonstrate how they can inspire the children in their care and communicate their passion for Physical Education.

  • be passionate and innovative about learning and teaching in Physical Education
  • have knowledge and experience of the Victorian Curriculum

  • be self motivated and able to work independently if necessary
  • have the capacity to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs
  • be able to build positive relationships with children and create learning environments where all are valued and challenged
  • be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement.
